The complex number field is an associative division algebra over the real number field. In this paper we define an inner product in this field, and take this new algebraic system as a tool to study a general combined electric-magnetic focussing-deflection system with superimposed fields The relativistic third-order geometrical aberration formulas for this combined system have been derived.

For the ions with a (3d)1 electron in a tetragonally or trigonally distorted cubic crystal field by taking the previous static crystal field theory as starting point, the Γ∥, Γ⊥ and K∥ K⊥, R∥ R⊥ are introduced further in terms of cluster model. E9 mixing into T29 is also considered. Then we derive the formulas of g∥ and g⊥ which can be used in all possible eases of tetragonally or trigonally distorted cubic crystal field. The variation of g∥ and g⊥ with the parameters has been discussed.A considerable peak appearing on the Δg-(d/λ0) curve has been discovered and further analysed.Bight EPE experimental results from literatures have been fitted and explained.

The approximate description of tokamak plasma evolution during fast heating is discussed. The equilibrium configuration of two important types of flux-conserving evolution of tokamak plasma are obtained: the adiabatic compression and the noncom-pressional fast heating. It is assumed that the plasma shape is noncircular with small arbitrary deformations from the average circles and there exists only one elliptic magnetic axis for the initial configuration. By means of expansion of the plasma parameters in terms of the inverse aspect ratio the problem becomes tractable analytically. It is demonstrated that this method can be used successfully to describe the evolution sequence of adiabatic compression; as far as the noncompressional fast heating is concerned. The results are also in consistence with that of two-dimensional computation if the displacement of the magnetic axis (or the poloidal beta value) remains not very large.

The purturbative expressions for response function R and inverse dielectric function ε-1 has been established in the paper by using the concept of the coherent renormalization according to their primitive definition. By comparing the obtained equations with those in the MSR scheme, we pointed out that the two agree quite well in form with each other at least within the sixth order, and thus justified the reliability of the coherent renormalization. The differences between the two were analysed in more detail and its relation with DIA were also discussed.

The pseudo-binary systems Li2SO4-Li2B2O4, Li2SO4-(NH4)2SO4 have been studied by means of DTA and X-ray diffraction techniques. Li2SO4-Li2B2O4 is a eutectic system. The eutectic reaction occures at 720℃ and 75 mol% Li2SO4. In Li2SO4-(NH4)2SO4 system there exists only one compound NH4LiSO4 which has a solid-solid phase transition at 186℃.The ionic conduction in both crystalline, amorphous Li2B2O4 and some samples with different compositions in Li2SO4-(NH4)2SO4 system have been investigated. It was found that below 400℃ the conductivity of amorphous Li2B2O4 is at least more than two orders of magnitude higher than that of crystalline sample and the activation energy of conduction is much smaller. The activation energy of LiNH4SO4 high temperature phase is only 0.12 eV while it's room temperature phase has a value of 0.70 eV. The ionic conductivity of the sample containing Li2SO4 40 mol% (LiNH4SO4 + [NH4]2SO4 two phase mixture) of the high temperature phase is about two orders of magnitude higher than that of pure LiNH4SO4. This suggests that when one kind of ionic crystal is added as a second phase into another ionic crystal, the ionic conductivity ofthe later could be increased remarkbly.

Possible properties of the analytic expression for the partition function are analyzed on the basis of 2-dimensional rigorous solution and the 3-dimensional Q-approximation for the Ising model. The possibility to improve the numerical results by using high order hypercomplex numbers is disciissed to get ready for deriving an interpolation formula for the partition function between low and high temperature limits.

A class of approximate interpolation formula for the partition function of the 3-dimensional Ising model is proposed on the basis of a previous analysis of the 2-dim rigorous solution and 3-dim Q-approximation. In principle, the present knowledge about the location of the singular point and the low- and high-temperature expansion coefficients can be incorporated provided a sufficient amount of computation is carried out. One and the same analytical expression leads to good low- and high-temperature behaviour except for the specific heat singularity.

Starting from a simple model introduced by L. Pietronero et al., we have employed a programming scheme which can greatly simplify the calculation, and have completed the whole numerical evaluation. A method for the exact determination of τs and the specific calculation are given. Extending the results obtained we further discuss the variation of τs due to surface relaxation.

The secondary ion mass spectrometry, X-ray diffraction, electron probe and scanning electron microscope were employed to analyze qualitatively the metallurgical and corresponding electrical properties of the interfaces between Pt, Mo, Ti, Al and GaAs, which have been subjected to heat treatment at various temperatures. The results are discussed. Based on these results, we are able to suggest the physical characteristics that the metal should possess and the principle for preparing the junction that should be employed in order to obtain a good Schottky junction on GaAs.

This paper describes an X-ray three-dimensional image display apparatus based on the principle of the binocular parallax and the method of optics and electronics. It can transform invisible X-ray image into visible three-dimensional image. The X-ray source used in this work consists of two triode X-ray tubes, and a plumbicon camera with high sensibility and low lag and an image intensifier are used as TV camera system. By means of processing the electronic image, we have succesfully obtained clear and extremely low X-ray dose three-dimensional image. After a brief description of the basic principle, our emphasis is laid on the analytical method of stereoscopic depth of the three-dimensional image and method of processing of how to get a stereoscopic image. The apparatus is very valuable for practical use in research works on physics, biology and medicine.

In this paper the effects of diffusion in a stochastic magnetic field are discussed. The time-dependent equations for diffusion flux and ambipolar electric field are derived. The results show that the relaxation time is much less than the life-time of particles, so that the quasi-stationary state can be reached. The ambipolar electric field is important and the ambipolar diffusion flux is of the same order of the ion diffusion level.

The effect of heat treatment on the m icrostructure and super-conducting properties of the eutectic alloy A1-11.3 at% Si prepared by the splat quenching technique has been studied. The negative magnetoresistivity in super conducting-normal transition was observed in the sample after annealing at 100℃ for 50 hours. Our results reveal the existence of two superconducting phases in this sample.
