Chalcohalide glasses 20GeSe2-(80-x)Sb2Se3-xCsCl(x=2,4,8,10 mol%)were synthesized by the conventional melt-quenching method. The optical transmission spectra were measured from the visible to the far-infrared range. The effect of CsCl content on the short-edged wavelength was investigated. Moreover,the differential thermal analysis curves of a typical 20GeSe2-76Sb2Se3-4CsCl glass were measured under different heating rates,and its crystallization kinetics was analyzed under the non-isothermal condition. The results show that,the introduction of CsCl into the glass lowers the non-bonding energy level,which leads to the increase of the electronic bandgap Eg,and blue-shift of the short edged wavelength. Compared with the conventional Johnson-Mehl-Avrami model,the autocatalytic model gives a better description of the kinetic process for the glass sample.
